The Visiting Nurse Association of Staten Island (VNASI) remains committed to serving Staten Islanders despite the devastating impact of the COVID-19 crisis. The Senior Leadership Team in collaboration with our Board of Directors carefully monitors the guidance from the New York State Department of Health as well as the Centers of Disease and Prevention to ensure that the Agency implements excellent infection control protocols to enhance safety of our staff and the patients we are so humbled to serve. We have successfully secured ample Protective Personal Equipment to help shield our caregivers from the risk of the virus’s spread in the community. The VNASI clinical staff are safely serving patients discharged from our Staten Island Hospitals, off Island Hospitals, physician offices and Long Term Care Facilities (Nursing Homes) every single day. Our nurses and therapists care for COVID positive and negative patients alike, providing so many with the assessment, education and follow up to their physician practices that makes homecare such an important link in the progression to wellness.

If you or a loved one believes you can benefit from a home care assessment, call our intake department at 718.816.3500.
